Archaeologists have found a bottle with a message from the past

It became known that the famous archaeologist Mark Doucette found a bottle with a message that was sent in 1983.

It is reported that the message from the past reached Sable Island in the North Atlantic Ocean.

The bottle was of gin, the odor of which Doucette and his colleagues smelled when they opened it.

The alcoholic beverage had not weathered and, the scientists suggest, had not even weakened in 43 years.

The genie had corroded the ink, but archaeologists were able to figure out that the senders were members of the crew of the supply ship Wimpey Sea Hunter, who listed their names.

They also put in the bottle two Canadian dollars with the image of a young Queen Elizabeth II, which were issued in 1974.

Earlier it was reported that scientists have invented marine fungi that destroy plastic.

According to experts, at the moment the problem of plastic waste in water is in the first place among global environmental problems.
